Description
The camshaft plays an important role in opening and closing valves to enable fuel and air into the combustion chamber of your vehicle. If you are experiencing hesitation with a loss of power, jerking or shaking, more fuel consumption, or producing more emissions than usual, it could be time for a replacement. Intake and Exhaust Camshaft from Hot Cams are offered in 3 stages, with stage 1 cams offering more pulling power, stage 2 cams supplying more horsepower, and stage 3 cams providing the ultimate in rpm horsepower and over rep. Camshafts from Hot Cams are offered as a set of both intake and exhaust cams or are available separately with detailed instructions for simple and easy installation.
Features
- High-performance racing camshaft
- In most applications, Stage 1 cams deliver more torque and Stage 2 cams provide more peak horsepower
- Stage 1 and Stage 2 performance camshafts are drop-in cams that are designed to be used with stock valve springs
- These items are designed exclusively for closed-course competition use ONLY. Use on public lands or highways in the state of California is illegal
- Select series features the New Gold Series camshafts that are designed to provide extra torque and horsepower. These camshafts require the use of stiffer valve springs
Additional Information
NOTE: Intake and exhaust cams are sold separately. ITR design dual-cam engine. Good bottom-end and mid-range increase up to 10,800 rpm with slight top-end loss. Includes auto-decompression mechanism. Uses stock valve springs.
