- Allows the use of an external ignition, which helps prevent heat-related ignition failures by replacing heat-sensitive internal nose-cone style ignitions
Info About the1007 EX External Ignition Module Included In This Kit:
- Selectable single or dual fire mode
- Coil outputs protected against short circuits
- Selectable multi-spark mode for quick starting and smooth cruise
- Uses the tachometer wire for the PC-link and comes with a connector
- Wide timing advance adjustment range accommodates stock to highly modified engines
- Optional USB interface and software for programming custom advanced curve (Sold Separately)
- Requires coils with a minimum of 3 ohms resistance and low-resistance spiral-core-type plug wires
- The unit has four rotary switches for timing adjustments, single/dual ignition mode, and a digitally set RPM limit (100 RPM steps)

Additional Information
NOTE: Exempt per CARB Executive Order (E.O.) #D-641-1.
NOTE: Sportster 1200S with Dual Plug Heads:
- You will have to remove the original equipment MAP sensor.
- You will also require a timing rotor (P/N 18004) and VOES switch (P/N 18010).
- The OE coil has low resistance primary windings that are not compatible with our Ignition and must be replaced with an aftermarket four tower coil that has 3-ohm primary resistance.
